Nature Tour 6 days/5 nights
Embark on an adventure to Koytendag, Darvaza Crater, Yangykala Canyon, Kov Ata Underground Lake, and the Avaza seaside resort on this exciting tour of Turkmenistan!
This adventure tour begins in the east of the country with a visit to one of the most beautiful places in Turkmenistan, the Koytendag mountain range. The place is famous for the Plateau of the Dinosaurs discovered in 1980, with 438 fossilized dinosaur footprints dating from the Jurassic Period. The second tour consists of visiting a very famous and at the same time an unusual spot. It’s a huge hole with tongues of flames in it which have been burning day and night since 1971. It is also known as “The Gate of Hell” and has grown in popularity on the Internet. Afterwards comes one of the wonders of Turkmenistan called Yangykala Canyon which is situated in the far northwest of Turkmenistan, about 420 km northwest of the capital, Ashgabat. With bands of pink, red and yellow rock searing across the sides of steep canyon walls, Yangykala is a breathtaking sight and one of the most spectacular natural attractions in Turkmenistan. This area was first shaped by the pre-historical Parathetys Sea millions of years ago. After the sea disappeared, rain and wind have caused this spot to become a unique landscape. On the way to Yangykala Canyon you will have the opportunity to visit Kov Ata Underground Lake. The lake is located at a depth of 52 meters from the entrance on a vertical line, and its water has constant temperature between 35-37 0C. This thermal spa is proved to improve blood circulation, help control rheumatism, skin disorders and ease the nervous system. Lastly, our natural sight tour will be concluded by visiting National tourist zone “Avaza”. It is a wonderful seaside resort on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea with pristine sand and more than 20 hotels of world-class health complexes for accommodation, which make the spot very popular.
